Crystalline Torque (Mana Preservation 3) – Velk’s Lab from Spinechiller
Spiders.
Essence Lens (Spell Haste 3) – Clerics will have to give up a Sleeper’s Tomb
key to do this quest
Frostreaver’s Embroidered Cloak (Spell Haste 3) – Clerics can kill the Dain
instead of giving up their Sleeper’s Tomb key.
Hand of the Master (Spell Haste 3) – Of course those that want the ultimate
Spell Haste 3 items, killing Aaryonar in North Temple of Veeshan is always an
option.
Idol of the Underking (Improved Healing 3) – Drops from Master Yael in the
Hole.
Mask of Fall (Improved Healing 3) – This also drops from Aaryonar, Clerics
love this dragon.
Mosquito Hide Mask (Enhancement Haste 3) – Found in the sewers of the new
Cazic Thule.

Obulous Death Shroud (Mana Preservation 3) – This is found in Old Sebilis on
a Crypt Caretaker.
Ring of the Shissar (Enhancement Haste 3) – This also doubles as the key to
see Emperor Ssraeshza. This is a mini quest in the Temple of Ssraeshza.

B drops this.
Shroud of Veeshan (Improved Healing 3) – Phara Dar in Veeshan’s Peak

Peak.

EverQuest Cleric Guide-5.2.4 Tier 4 Items with Foc

5.2.4 Tier 4 Items with Focus Affects

With the Planes of Power expansion, Tier 4 items were introduced. New pottery
recipes allow Grand Masters to create items that affect all spells up to level 65.
The items needed are rare, thus many of these items are expensive to buy.
Other Tier 4 items can be found off very high level, named MoBs. They are very
difficult to obtain without a well equipped raid. Currently, Ornate Armor offers
some the best and often the cheapest way to get items with Improved Healing 4
(vambraces), Improved Damage 4 (gloves) and Mana Preservation 4 (boots).
There are also items that are available in the Planes of Power that exceed the
affects Tier 4 items give, but only drop off the highest level MoBs and gods.
There are too many of these and they are difficult enough to obtain to mention in
this guide.

EverQuest Cleric Guide-5.2.1 Tier 1 Items with Foc

5.2.1 Tier 1 Items with Focus Affects
Gilded Cloth (Spell Haste 1) – Sadly, this drops off the Froglok Noble in Guk. If
one can be found in the bazaar, it may be worth picking up, but the risk v. reward
is kind of skewed for this item.
Bear Hide Boots (Extended Enhancement 1) – Very easy quest in Qeynos Hills
from Chanda Miller that costs about 15 mins of time and 7pp.
Cat Skull Cap (Enhancement Haste 1) – Dropped in Runnyeye by a Gelatinous
Cube.
Cougar Claw Earring (Mana Preservation 1) – This is easy to find in the
Bazaar, but is not worth hunting for unless the Cleric is already in Iceclad for
experience.
Glowing Bone Collar (Extended Range 1) – Drops off of Karana Ogre Shamen.
Not worth the risk v. reward, but this ability becomes very important later for
healing pullers or in outdoor zones.
Medicine Totem (Improved Healing 1) – This is a nice item for the range slot,
but hard to find. It drops off Blugtign in Frontier Mountains. Sadly it isn’t really
attainable until the ability is useless.
Platinum Armband (Mana Preservation 1) – This is best found in the Bazaar
as the risk vs. reward is not worth the effort.
Testament of Vanear (Mana Preservation 1) – This is an excellent item as
described earlier in this guide in the quest section.
Turtleshell Helm (Improved Healing 1) – This is an easy to find item on Bazaar
vendors.
Wolf Fur Slippers (Spell Haste 1) – The Ice Goblin Scryer in Permafrost drops
these. Once again a little tough to get for the level it affects.
Zaharn’s Coronet (Improved Healing 1) – High Priest Zaharn gives this toy up.
This is also difficult to obtain at low levels.

EverQuest Cleric Guide-5.2.2 Tier 2 Items with Foc

5.2.2 Tier 2 Items with Focus Affects
Batfang Headband (Extended Enhancement 2) – Drops off of those Karana
Ogres again. Grabbing this and the collar at the same time might be a good idea.
Black Alloy Medallion (Mana Preservation 2) – Drops in Runnyeye and is very
nice.
Book of Obulous (Improved Healing 2) – Karnor’s Castle off of Spectral
Turnkey. Nice item, but Turnkey is pretty rare, as is the book.
Chestplate of the Constant (Extended Enhancement 2) – Cleric Quest armor.
Look it up in the quest section earlier in this guide.
Crown of Leaves (Reagent Conservation 2) – Narra Tanith in South Karana
drops this. This is an easy fight, but she is rare and hard to find.
Djarn’s Amethyst Ring (Spell Haste 2) – Common drop from the Efreeti Lord in
Solusek B. He also drops the Golden Efreeti Boots. This is worth the camp for
both items, though he’s a real toughie before level 40.
Drake Scale Belt (Extended Enhancement 2) – Singe in Sol A drops this and is
very easy to get.
Drake Hide Sleeves (Extended Enhancement 2) – These are also easy to get.
The Goblin Bartender in Sol A drops these.
Dustscryer’s Crystal Ball (Mana Preservation 2) – Goblin Dustscryer is in
Frontier Mountains. He’s usually near the Dreadlands zone line when he spawns.
Fine Silk Turban (Reagent Conservation 2) – Hatar the Sand Giant’s hat.
Fradakar’s Talisman (Improved Healing 2) – This is a no drop item in Dragon
Necropolis. It is probably not attainable until after the Cleric is beyond the skill’s
usefulness in most situations.
Golden Bracer (Extended Range 2) – Drops from Crypt Spectres in Howling
Stones. Probably not attainable outside of the Bazaar until the ability should be
upgraded to tier 3. Try the Bazaar.
Golden Efreeti Boots (Enhancement Haste 2) – These are very nice boots.
They drop from the Efreeti Lord Djarn in Sol B.
Iksar Hide Cap (Reagent Conservation 2) – Decent head item, but drops in
Chardok. Bazaar friendly though.
Meditative Blanket (Improved Healing 2) – Titail Sinok in Trakanon’s Teeth
drops this.
Mithril Runed Tunic (Spell Haste 2) – Guk’s Froglok Crusader drops this.
Moonstone Ring (Extended Range 2) – Guk’s Frenzied Ghouls drop these all
too often. They are now a very easy to find item in the Bazaar
Necklace of Superiority (Spell Haste 2) – Dropped by Drusella Sathir of
Howling Stones. By the time the Cleric is ready for her, this item will probably be
useless..
Platinum Tiara (Enhancement Haste 2) – Guk’s Froglok Tactician drops this.
Savant’s Cap (Reagent Conservation 2) – Reclusive Ghoul Magi in Unrest drop
these. It is very easy to get and very common in the Bazaar.
Shimmering Terror Hide Boots and Cloak (Extended Range 2) – These are
dropped by a named Kobold in Velketor’s Labyrinth.
Teacher’s Syllabus (Enhancement Haste 2) – Angry Librbarian in Tower of
Frozen Shadow (fun zone) drops this.

EverQuest Cleric Guide-5.Items 5.1 Useful Toys

5.1 Useful Toys
There are many items that are quite useful to the Cleric. These include items
that give Enduring Breath, See Invisible or Invisibility. There are many items that
give these effects in the game and a wise Cleric will investigate them. Listed
below are some items that are too useful to pass up.
Journeyman’s Boots – Traveller’s Boots
In order to obtain Jboots, the Cleric must complete a quest. It involves killing an
Ancient Cyclops for his Ring of the Ancients. These MoBs are rare spawns in
the Southern Desert of Ro and Ocean of Tears. This is a highly contested spawn
and frequently monopolized by high level casters who sell the ring for multiquest
purposes. Once the ring is obtained, grab a Shadow Rapier off of a Shadowed
Man. These are no rent so it is suggested that they be only obtained when the
Cleric is ready to complete the quest. Finally, take 3,250 gold pieces, the ring
and rapier to the Rathe Moutains and give them all to Hasten Bootstrutter. Since
the Cleric will be weighed down by the gold, it is suggested that another player
be enlisted to help find this NPC and repeatedly hail him until the Cleric can
catch up.
Tboots can be bought in Solusek B, however the Cleric must have decent faction
with the Gnome creations. They are expensive and they are not instant click like
the Jboots.

EverQuest Cleric Guide-5.2 Focus Items

5.2 Focus Items
With the ongoing development of the game, new item abilities were introduced
with new abilities grouped under a broad term called Focus Items. Focus items
increase an aspect of a spell caster’s casting ability. For each ability, there are
four tiers of potency. Tier 1 adds the effect to spells 20th level and lower, Tier 2
adds to 44th level and lower, Tier 3 adds to spells 60th level and lower and Tier 4
adds to the spells 65th level and lower.
Below you will find an explanation of each focus item effect:

EverQuest Cleric Guide-4.3 Cleric Class Abilities

4.3 Cleric Class Abilities (Level 59)
These abilities are solely for the Cleric and become available at level 59 and after
12 points have been spent in the Priest Archtypes.
Cleric
Bestow Divine Aura Instant Divine Aura
Celestial Regeneration Manaless Heal Over Time
Divine Resurrection 100% Resurrection
Innate Invisibility to Undead Manaless Invis to Undead
Mass Group Buff Ability to cast AoE Group Buffs
Purify Soul Remove DoT, Poison and Disease
Spell Casting Reinforcement
Mastery
Increases Spell Duration
Turn Undead Undead Area Fear and DoT
Bestow Divine Aura – This abiliity may save one person but in raid situations
that is pretty useless.
Celestial Regeneration – The refresh time of 72 minutes makes this ability not
very useful. If the Cleric has extra points to spend it does have its uses.
Divine Ressurrection – In some circumstances this is a great ability. To bring
back a tank with full mana when the raid is in trouble, may just save the day.
Other than that, this ability is for excess points only.
Innate Invisibility to Undead – This ability does not have a lot of uses unless
the Cleric is dead and needs to go on a corpse retrieval.
Mass Group Buff – This is the most important ability of the class abilities. Most
guilds require Clerics to have this skill. In a raiding guild this should be a Cleric’s
first priority
Purify Soul – In some cases this ability can be literally a life saver, however
those situations are few and far between since there is the new PoP ability that
does essentially the same thing.
Spell Casting Reinforcement Mastery – This adds an additional 20 percent to
the time on benefical buffs. It goes along nicely with Mass Group Buff, however
those Clerics with the 8th Shawl, shouldn’t worry about obtaining this ability.
Turn Undead – If a Cleric feels like showing off in an AE group, this can be fun
to use, otherwise it is suggested not to waste points in it.

EverQuest Cleric Guide-4.4 Planes of Power Add-on

4.4 Planes of Power Add-on
Planar Power – This ability raises the maximum that a player’s statistics can be
raised, with items or spells, by 5 points per rank.
Innate Enlightenment – Each rank of this ability raises the maximum that you
may raise your intelligence and wisdom by ten points. If a Cleric wishes to raise
their Wisdom Cap, this is the best way to start.
Advanced Healing Adept – These are the next levels up from the Priest
Archetypes.
Advanced Healing Gift – These are the next levels up from the Priest
Archetypes.
Lightning Reflexes – This ability further increases your chance of completely
avoiding incoming melee damage. For most Clerics this ability is not worth the
points. Most prefer to use Divine Aura if they start getting hit.
Innate Defense – This ability further increases your mitigation of incoming melee
damage. By the time this skill becomes useful most Clerics will have used Divine
Aura.
Radiant Cure – This ability grants its wielder the ability to cure their party of
many afflictions, poisons, curses and harmful magic. As in the case of Purify
Soul, this is a nice ability to have. Clerics should probably choose this after
Innate Enlightenment or the new Adept ability.
Hastened Divinity, Hastened Turning, Hastened Purification of the Soul –
The chances of a Cleric needing these is slim to none. Don’t bother with these.
Divine Arbitration – Using this ability balances the health of your group such that
all group members end up with the same amount of damage taken. This can be
useful in certain group play.
Celestial Renewal – This ability grants improvements to a Cleric’s existing
Celestial Regeneration. If the Cleric has extra points to spend it does have its
uses.
Unfailing Divinity — This ability grants your Death Pact-type spells a second
chance to successfully heal their target. In larger raids this is a great way to keep
up tanks in the CH rotation.
Fury of Magic — This ability further increases your chance to score a critical hit
with your direct damage spells. This is only useful in soloing or small groups.
